Sympathy Cards

Had some time the last couple days to make some sympathy cards. I used the CTMH Veranda paper. Love that paper pack. My goal is is use all the paper I have in stock. Since I no longer use paper for my scrapbooking (Studio J is my go to place for scrapbooking), I have so much paper on hand. It's the reason I decided to start making cards. I do love the creative outlet of making something and I believe people like home make cards instead of store bought. I ended up making around 10 cards.

November Promotion - $5 Studio J Layouts

I am so excited! Studio J will be $5 a layout in November! If you haven't tried it, this is the time too! Go to Studio J and play around with it this month and order sometime in November.  If you need any help, please email me.

Also, five new paper kits from the current idea book will be added on November 1st!

November marks the five-year anniversary of Studio J®, and that means it’s your lucky month, with five amazing ways to win through Studio J and Close To My Heart social media!

1) First, throughout the month of November, all layouts purchased in Studio J are $5! That is a savings of over 25% off of retail!

2) Your second chance to win big must come by sheer luck: every fifth order placed in Studio J during November receives a FREE surprise Close To My Heart accessory in its shipping box! The accessory has a retail value of $5 or more.

3) If luck doesn’t smile on you in that way, you might stumble upon it by finding a little extra something in your Studio J box. Five “golden tickets” will be sent out during the month of November with randomly selected Studio J print orders! This “golden ticket” is redeemable for one of Close To My Heart’s new D-ring albums* loaded with 10 Top Load Memory Protectors™.

4) For a fourth way to win, simply create new, gorgeous layouts in Studio J, select your favorites, and then post pictures of them on Close To My Heart’s Facebook page using the hashtag #ctmhlucky5. After November 30, five lucky winners will be selected from the entries based on their artistry and creativity and each of these winners will receive their own D-ring album loaded with 10 Top Load Memory Protectors!

5) And there is one last way to win: take your new Studio J artwork and post a picture of it on Instagram using the hashtag #ctmhlucky5. Just as it is with Facebook, after November 30, five lucky winners will be selected from the entries to receive their own D-ring album loaded with 10 Top Load Memory Protectors!

Plus, there is a bonus Consultant-only way to win. After the campaign has ended, the top five Consultants who had the greatest number of customers who order during the campaign will also get a D-ring album loaded with 10 Top Load Memory Protectors! This sixth way to win is only open to Consultants, so make sure to encourage every one of your customers—new to Studio J or not—to start designing now.
And to make things even more exciting, starting November 1, five brand new kits from the Annual Inspirations idea book will be made available in Studio J, so you can create new artwork using the latest papers and embellishments from Close To My Heart. With so many ways to win, five may be your new lucky number! Log in to Studio J and start creating today.

*Offer valid November 1–30, 2014. Pattern and color of new D-ring album to be given to winners will be at Close To My Heart’s discretion based upon availability. New kits available in Studio J® on November 1 include Confetti Wishes, Snowhaven, Seaside, Pathfinding, and Scaredy Cat. No tax or shipping will be charged on the free item(s). Studio J layouts ship in a protected box that can hold 4 to 50 two-page layouts. Turkey Burgers

I love Pinterest. Our family's dinner menu is from my Pinterest boards. Our family's favorite turkey burgers that we have at least twice a month is the Arugula Feta Turkey Burgers from Dallas Duos Blog. We happen to go to the same church as Lauren so that's a plus. Love her blog so please check it out when you have the chance.

We have the burgers with mashed potatoes and green beans - no buns!  It's great for leftovers. I often have it for breakfast since I'm not the breakfasty type.

Studio J's Express Collection

I love Studio J's Express Collection. I picked Sports Layout #7. The layout is ready for you to just drop in photos but you can still change up the photo wells and add journaling boxes.

I love how the layout turned out. I made it for my daughter's high school scrapbook.  The school's baseball team won state! First for the school. Great ending to her senior year.

Studio J using No Limits Layout

I discovered Studio J in 2012. I made 153 layouts that year! Talk about catching up on your albums! I've made over 300 layouts all together so I've started using the No Limits layouts to have more variety.

I copied the layout from the Imagine idea book (Everything in Its Place) and used the Ariana paper. For my Family Album, I always make a miscellaneous page for each month. Most pics come from my kids' iPhones - love the iCloud!

I hate to say it but this layout isn't perfect. I highly recommend that when you approve a layout in Studio J that you take a screen shot of it and really look at it especially when using the No Limits layout.

The blue circles shows that the papers did not go to the edge of the page. I doubt anyone would ever notice it but when you design the page, you see it. I just trimmed the page and it was perfect.

I love this NoLimits layout of my dog Kylie and her BFF Ben. I made the background paper 'Outdoor Denim'. Thought it looked better than white. The rest is just photo wells and a couple journaling wells. I did not think it needed any embellishments. The page is all about the dogs! This layout has 16 pictures!

Halloween Cards

Within the past six months, I've really gotten into making cards. I have so much scrapbook paper, it's not even funny. Not to mention stamp sets. With the help of Pinterest, I've copied several cards from some very talented ladies.

This card I found on Playing with Paper blog and thought it would be great to send to my daughter. College students love mail! I used the S1108-Wicked stamp set with the Mischief papers.

I copied this card from Dudley Chick Designs blog. I used the Wicked stamp set and Sonoma papers. I know my daughter's suite-mate will love this card!
